$TALENT Vault is a feature of the Talent Passport App that allows you to deposit $TALENT tokens to increase your Builder Score and earn yield.
Your $TALENT tokens can be stored in the Talent Passport App in 3 different ways:
Vesting: $TALENT tokens you earned or bought, that are still waiting to be unlocked, according to the vesting schedule.
Available: All $TALENT tokens currently available to be claimed to the wallet address (EOA) you selected before TGE.
Vault: Tokens you voluntarily deposited in the Vault smart contract. Withdraws are subject to a 7-day security period.
When your $TALENT tokens become available to be claimed, you will have the option of putting them into a Vault instead of claiming them directly to your EOA wallet.
You can also deposit $TALENT tokens directly from your EOA wallet to the Vault.
This choice can be made on the “Wallet” page of the Talent Passport App.
Once you tap on deposit, you will select the amount you’d like to deposit and then transfer into your $TALENT Vault. The contract allows you to deposit any amount, but there might be a maximum amount of $TALENT eligible to earn yield.
$TALENT that is deposited into Vault may earn additional $TALENT as yield, subject to their terms and conditions. The APY that you can earn is variable and may change. These details will be displayed in your Vault within Talent Passport App.
Currently, Talent Protocol is providing between 10% and 25% APY to Vault users, applicable to the first 10,000 $TALENT tokens deposited, until December 31st 2024.
Any amount over 10,000 $TALENT in your Vault will not earn yield.
After December 31st the Vault stops giving yield, but users can still deposit tokens to increase their Builder Score.
The default APY is 10%, but it can go up to 25% if your Builder Score is above 100 and minted onchain. You need to deposit funds from the same wallet you used to mint your Builder Score onchain to receive an APY boost.
Tier 1: 10% APY, for all users
Tier 2: 15% APY, for users with Builder Score > 50 and minted onchain
Tier 3: 20% APY, for users with Builder Score > 75 and minted onchain
Tier 4: 25% APY, for users with Builder Score > 100 and minted onchain
Yield will be calculated daily but will not accumulate with the Vault balance. The principal will remain the same as initially deposited, meaning the daily yield will be the same unless you deposit more funds into the vault.
You are able to withdraw your $TALENT tokens from the Vault at any point in time, as long as at least 7 days have passed since your last deposit.
